Genesis and Catastrophe

So, what happens to Adolfus? A story expected to tell if the baby lives, unlike his three older siblings, and no ending to tell us if he does or doesn't... Why did they choose a name like Adolfus? Sounds disgustingly close to Adolf, and I think they actually used the name Adolf once or twice. The mother a shaken wreck and the father a belligerent drunk, and nobody but the doctor has faith that Adolfus will live. What is the father's fixation on having big babies? New born babies are not suppose to big by any means. If they're too big there's a chance the mother of it won't live to hold her baby. I think the father might of had something to do in the death's of the children. At his daughter's funeral his is walking around mingling with a beer and has the nerve to announce there is "good news"... Also the conversation between the mother doctor and himself gives me a weird feeling about him. The drunk father is a very sketchy character.
