Roald Dahl

Born in Wales the 13th of September 1916. He served in the Royal Air Force during World War II. He started as a flying ace and intelligence officer, but eventually became Acting wing commander. During the 40's Dahl found a profession that would make him a legend. He became an author writing for both children and adults. He has been referred to as "one of the greatest storytellers for children of the 20th century" and has won numerous awards for his works. Some of his most famous works are The Gremlins, James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fantastic Mr. Fox and plenty more.
